How to Tell a Story . . . Formula Outline
The essential components
are as follows:
1) Before ______ (Cell Tech, or the
algae, or network marketing or whatever story you are
wanting to tell), I felt like ________; (fill in the blank
space with feelings type information because everyone
has experienced feelings and are more likely to identify with
how you felt).
2) After _______ (Cell Tech, or the
algae, or network marketing or whatever story you are
wanting to tell), I felt like _____; (fill in the blank
space with feelings type information because everyone
has experienced feelings and are more likely to identify with
how you felt).
3) and it really made a difference
for me because _____ (fill in the blank with why it really
mattered, how it changed you, or how you feel now).
"What
I do. . . " Formula Outline
This
outline is most useful when you are wanting to explain what
you do to someone who you are talking with, although it can
be used in many circumstances to establish a common need and
show how we can help. This is the essence of the format:
1) You
know how _____ (Fill in the blanks about a need or a problem
that they would understand and identify with); well .
. .
2) What
I do is . . . (Explain what you do as it relates to the
above defined problem or need in other words, show how
you fill the need) . . . and then, if appropriate, offer your
services to them.
